We were required to chose a Lego character that we favor and research in detail about it. We then need to produce a minimum 5 pages of journal.
I chose Batman. Below attached a copy of my DPJ 01.
Reflection
I find it very interesting when researching about Batman for this journal.
I understood more about my character and improved my researching skills. As I need to present all of my findings in an info-graphic / visual note taking way, I had improved my summarizing & visual note taking abilities. I am also able to think creatively and see things at a different perspective when producing this journal as I want it to be easy to understand and interesting.
DPJ 02
For DPJ 02, we were required to derive 2 keywords from the findings that we obtained about our toy character in DPJ 01. Besides that, we were also required to produce an 2D artwork about the keywords. ( One each )
The keyword I had chosen were dark and double life.

Reflection
Throughout this DPJ, I'd improved on my researching and visual note taking skills. I'd learned to transform and depict words into 2D artworks and explained it using design elements and principles. I am also able to think outside the box to present my keywords in a more interesting way.
DPJ 03
For the third DPJ, we were required to research about a display box/ display unit. We were to include sketches and ideas about how we want or plan of how our display box would look like and why.

Reflection
Throughout the DPJ, I am able to think outside the box and logically of how my display box would look like that is related to the keyword chosen. I'd improved on my researching skills and was able to locate and utilize information from books/ the internet into the DPJ. I am also able to successfully transform 2D words into 3D artworks.
DPJ 04
The final DPJ is the full compilation of all the DPJs and create a portfolio.
We were required to design a book cover and complete a cv together with all of the DPJs compiled together.

Lastly, the final compilation for all the DPJs. Besides compiling, I'd learned to create a Curriculum Vitae for the portfolio. I am able to understand the function of a portfolio and able to think creatively
to produce an interesting portfolio.
