For the first assignment for Effective Public Communication, we were to form a group and choose any places to visit and then create a photo blog based on the location. There were 5 sections that must be included in, cultures, people & activities, architecture/ buildings and references.
My teammates were Zhao Hong, Zhao Ming, Sze Ming and Joshua. We visited Zhao Hong's hometown, Seremban for this assignment.

Reflection
It was quite interesting to travel for an assignment. I had a lot of fun. As it is my first time travelling to Seremban, I experienced the state as a tourist. Zhao Hong was our tour guide and guided us around the town to famous restaurants, cafes, too see, etc.
Throughout this assignment, I had learned to use and apply proper academic writings in the photo blog. I am able to include relevant captions to photos and also obtained the skills to produce detailed descriptions of a certain place or items, etc. My presentation & writing skills were improved and I am also able to research and extract information obtained.
Besides that, for the presentation of this photo blog, I'd learned to communicate appropriately in various settings. We also made use of the technology by capturing photos and voice memo.
Project 02 Analyses of Mural Painting or Steel Artwork
For the second assignment, we were required to choose any 3 mural paintings or steel artwork and describe all the 3 aspects that must include the artist's background, description of the mural painting or steel artwork, and identify, analyse and extract 5 Effective Public Communication's concepts found on the 3 artwork. We the need to present what we found out in class.
As our group consists of 7 members, we analysed 4 mural paintings. We chose two paintings in Penang and two in Shah Alam, KL.

Reflection
I find the mural paintings very interesting. Every artist have their own style of expressing the paintings, making it very unique and refreshing for viewers. I went back to my hometown, Penang for this assignment and was in charged of one of the paintings for Penang.
Throughout this assignment, I'd learned to research information and present an effective presentation with the information obtained. I researched about the mural painting that I'm in charge of and include the EPC concepts in. I'm also able to understand how a team works and the power of teamwork. We were able to obtain information and photos of two places which have a 4 to 6 hours driving distance in such a short period. I think we fully utilized the power of teamwork.
Project 03 Oral Presentation
For the final assignment, we were to group ourselves in a group and choose and analyze two businesses of our choice from two different settings. We need to include the background information of the business, the analysis of the business in terms of competitors, obstacles or challenges, nature of the business, strategies used and recommendation ( Future plans, expansions, ways to sustain the business, etc).
Our group consists of 7 members, Shiyi, Jo Lynn, Jefri, Wei Zhen, Tze Xuan, Ruben and me. We chose to compare between two traditional herbal shops, one located in Teluk Intan, Perak and the other one in OUG, KL. Both of the shop are established for more than 10 years.
As this assignment incorporates with English II. Besides preparing slides for presentation, we also need to produce a report for English II. Both subjects have different content requirements for submission. For EPC, we were required to present the information obtained and record a video for about 15 - 20 minutes.

Reflection
Throughout this assignment, I'd improved my researching and presenting skills. I am able to communicate in a formal manner with businessman, professionals, etc. I'm also able to present information obtained in a clear and logical way where it is easier for people to understand.
Through the interview, I was able to understand more about how a business works and the strategies used in order to survive for so many years. I could now evaluate information accurately and present it with confidence. Although I do get nervous sometimes, but I'm certain that I could conquer that fear in the future.
